Tire Pressure

Picture

Tire pressure is very important

Believe it or not, tire pressure changes about 1 PSI per 10°F due to expansion and contraction of the air to the tires. For sustained high speed driving, increasing the tire pressure is recommended. Heavily loaded vehicles also benefit from increased tire pressure.

Higher pressures can help in snow and slush. Lower pressures work better in soft dirt or sand.
For proper inflation pressures refer to owner's manual or call our staff.

Low pressure can cause:
  • Loss of vehicle control
  • Edge Wear
  • Slow Steering Response
  • Brake Pull
  • Reduced Fuel Mileage
  • Blowout
  • Hydroplaning

High pressure can cause:
  • Loss of vehicle control
  • Center Wear
  • Brake Pull
  • Hard Ride
  • Blowout
